Wardrobe edit
A wardrobe edit is a service to help you declutter and sort out your existing wardrobe.
As I strongly believe in the ‘Capsule Wardrobe*’ concept, I will take an intentional minimalist approach for your wardrobe edit.
Following my wardrobe management method I will look at your whole wardrobe and will pull out all the items that are working for you (body shape, colouring and personal style) and can be added to your capsule wardrobe collection. These items will be mainly basic pieces within your neutral colour palette. I will then pull out other items I think can complement this collection. Once this is done, I will quickly go through the rest of your wardrobe and remove any items that are not working, that make you uncomfortable in any way or are worn out and/or outdated.
From there, any gaps or items to be replaced that we notice will be discussed and added to a shopping list.
By creating up to five outfits, I will teach you new ways to uplift, mix & match and integrate accessories into the pieces you already own. We will maximise your wardrobe’s potential.
I will also give you tips to keep your wardrobe organised so that your outfits and accessories are easily accessible for a relaxed and effective dressing routine.
Please note that I will always focus on the season we are in at the time of your session. To optimise time on your styling, I will not go through your activewear, underwear or old t-shirt pile as you can do this on your own.
*What is a Capsule Wardrobe? It is a wardrobe that consists of a few essential items of clothing that are timeless and easily interchangeable to maximise the number of outfits you can create. These items are chosen predominantly in the neutral colour palette. A capsule wardrobe can be revisited each season and complemented with trend-forward pieces.
Benefits of a capsule wardrobe edit.
Feel good - You will be left with a wardrobe with only pieces you love to wear, pieces that fit and flatter, and pieces that reflect your most authentic personal style.
More time, less headaches - With fewer choices, getting dressed each day will only take minutes. You will have more time to focus on what’s more important to you.
Save money in the long term - You will know which pieces to buy and fill any gaps. You will start investing in long-lasting quality items you can wear again and again.
Creativity - Having a smaller wardrobe will force you to try new combinations of items and colours.
How does it works?
Step1
Once you have purchased your wardrobe edit service we will book a time to meet for your wardrobe edit at home.
You will receive a personal style questionnaire to complete and send back prior to our session. This will allow me to organise our session ahead of my visit. It is an essential document for me to get to know you and understand your style and wardrobe goals.
Step 2
When I arrive at your place will first start with your personal style consultation.
We will discuss your body type, your colouring, and your ideal signature style. You will have a clear idea of the style that suits your body, personality and lifestyle.
Step 3
We will work on sorting out and organising your wardrobe, identifying the gaps and creating a few outfits.
After our session, I will send your shopping list and a directory of places where to donate or sell your unwanted items.
